“Typically a do-it-yourselfer, I took my Smart car last week to A-1 Automotive to have the rear brake shoes replaced. It is a seedy little 25 year old repair shop near the Georgetown Post Office, not new and fancy like dealerships or a pricey foo-foo repair shop like some on Williams Drive. They called to tell me a wheel cylinder was stuck and had to be replaced. Later, they called back and said their mechanic was able to free up the wheel cylinder so replacement was not necessary. They could have just as easily set the old part aside and waited on the $$$ replacement which is what most shops would do. I was really impressed with the services I received at A-1 and felt like they served me well by repairing instead of replacing the part. For this reason, I highly recommend consulting them when auto repairs are needed. Savvy gray haired guys run A-1 Automotive - guys like I like to do business with.”

“My low tire light came on, and A-1 was right over the IH35 bridge. Have used them before so when I pulled in. Jerry the owner asked what I needed, told him the tire pressure, not only did he fill, but he also checked the others. He did not charge me nor would he accept any money. Highly recommend A-1 for your vehicle!”

He was very polite and not only provided for me the service I needed, but his people checked some other things in my van and made sure it was good for a long trip that I was going to make in 2 days. From now on this is going to be the place where I will take my vehicle for any repair and maintenance; and I already recommended it to my son.”

My wife was driving our minivan last weekend, and broke down in the middle of the night just outside of Jarrell. We live over 200 miles away from there, so there was no easy way to deal with the breakdown. I had my car towed to A1, and told them the situation. A guy came in on a Saturday to do the repair, when he usually doesn't. They communicated with me each step of the way, and the price was extremely fair. I was totally exposed - no options, no nothing, totally stuck. A lot of mechanics would gouge a guy in my position, but A-1 absolutely did not. I'm really grateful for them for fixing the vehicle at such a reasonable price, and outside of their normal operating hours.
This is a really good shop. I'd recommend them to anyone.”
